Website Maintenance
Did you know that your WordPress website contains nearly 400,000 lines of code? And that’s before adding plug-ins for functionality and other customization features. Multiple times every month, developers are editing, fixing and improving those lines of code and sending them out via updates. When the updates address vulnerabilities they are urgent for security purposes.
Handling these updates can be relatively painless, or in the event of a conflict, quite a hassle. In either case, if you’re not keeping an eye on your website, it’s important to enroll in a Care Plan to ensure that someone is.
Website Backups
Like most things in life, you don’t realize the absolute importance of backups until you wished you had one! Websites can be backed up and saved at routine intervals to provide a “restart point” in the event of catastrophe. Website Security
The prevalence of website hackers is an unfortunate reality. While hackers have many motives for breaking into unsuspecting websites, the methods and results are the same: they want to take control of your site for their purposes.
A good WordPress Care Plan provides additional layers of security to protect and monitor your website. By following best-practices and installing security layers, the chances of getting hacked go down exponentially. Monitoring for suspicious activity, altered files or outdated code helps to catch small issues before they become big ones.
